[ There's a strangled little sound that's a too short to be a wail but too long to be a squawk as he tries to gather up all his papers as she upsets one of his stacks. When he can't manage to gather up his papers before they collapse in a heap on the floor, as much of a mess as they were in the first place, he huffs and throws the papers in his hand at her.

Of course, due to the laws of physics and air resistance, this doesn't work terribly well. ]

[ Studying dark magic is— well okay, still less than perfectly allowed, but it's not as though he's practicing it. Still, he gets up and starts gathering up his papers again anyway without making any moves for the door or attempting to get her out. ]
